In the arms of the Lord

We can't express enough our gratitude to the Lord for taking such great care of our family. We are so grateful for so many who have had their hearts touched and have helped us in so many ways. We hope we can touch others lives like you have all touched ours. Thank you sooooo much.

The nights before Christmas

Here are the before pictures so we can all remember how far we have really come.

More Miracles performed! We LOVE the tile work and how everything has come together. We are amazed at all the kindnesses and love that we continually feel from our great friends.

Mike has been so creative with the tile work! What a great custom job he did!

Here is Tony helping to hang more cabnets. They turned out so wonderful. Thanks to the Wards for donating the cabnets, all the great help we had from family to sand them down and to our local Mountain States Cabinetry for staining and varnishing them. We love the look!

The Ferry Phonomenon

Chet brought Clarissa and Rachel up with him early in the morning. Amazing how awake they were...certainly more than we were. Ben's face tells the story.

Chet showed his skillz with trim work and the girls really got into the swing of it. They were measuring up a storm pretty soon...we just stayed out of their way!

Bro's and Boards

Jared and Randy made the long drive up (I think they left around 5 in the morning), walked in the door and said "We're here to give you the best day we possibly can!" And they did. We spent the day laying in the bamboo flooring for the kitchen. A job I was severely underqualified for.
"Um, this floor isn't flat!" Flat, square, plumb, and level are words that we banned from the project long ago...
Gabe, looking right at home hanging with the guys. The floor tunred out amazing.

Saints and Stoners

Kirt, Geoergia, and Morgan came up and spent a big day laying in the stone on the front of the house. Their crew did the color coat on the house on the same day, all in one day!
They let us help by holding the rocks and saying "Ooooh, that looks great!" We were very happy to let the pros do the thinking work!
It was a cold morning that day, so it took a while to warm up enough that the stucco and stone could be worked on, but once things started, they moved in a hurry.
Kirt's crew made us look like slow-pokes with how fast they helped us finish the rock. It was a little too late to do the grouting on that same day, so some of Kirt's crew graciously stayed over to finish the grout the next day. Unbelievable how much they have sacrificed to be here.

Thanksgiving week...Tile!

The Mastermind. Mike came and spent all of his Thanksgiving weekend designing tile layouts and putting down tile. That does funny things to a guy...
Midnight, and we ain't done yet. The master shower was a ton of fun to put in. Lots of accents and detail that Jenn and Mike had designed. Mike cut and I laid it in.
Hmm, I sure hope we're doing this right...
This is the only time you'll ever see Mike and me in the same shower.

A Great Excuse to Get Together

The crew came out in droves for the honorary application of putty and calk. Many fingers were harmed in the making of this movie...
